In January 2013, while listening to music on the computer suddenly the Maiden with the Flaxen Hair drew my attention. Impressed by the wind instrument in the piece, I decided that I wanted to play a music instrument. I said to myself, "Every day I go to work. Sometimes I meet with my friends. But what do I do for myself?" My classmate Zeren was playing flute. I called her and asked: "How is it, hard to play?" Seeing that I was not daunted with the explanation, I called her teacher and said that I wanted to take classes. So this is how I met Aslı. During the introductory class we checked if I could discriminate the sounds? Whether I had sense of rhythm? If I could hold flute comfortably etc. and then we began to the classes. I began to play flute without even thinking once the excuses like "Now that I'm 24 years old. I work 6 days a week for long and sometimes uncertain hours. I always go abroad. Additionally, I also have a busy social life. I would have no time for flute". All in all, I am not aiming to be a virtuoso (for now!). While saying it would be enough if only I could play to satisfy myself happy, I made the first surprise to my mom. When playing the mother's song on the mother's day, I had already jumped to the pleasant part of the flute. Playing some pieces is a pleasure; however it is much more joyous when playing with a group. This is where Lirik Nefesler steps in. It is a group who gathers and practices flute once a week, all with different backgrounds, tastes and level of flute. I am the newest. The one following me had been playing for 1 year. Years for playing flute range from 2-3-4… It is enough to be able to make a sound. It would be enough even if it's a half sound J They listen to you with patience, with attention. You watch together your improvement. If you happen to get nervous while playing, then they begin to hug you so that your body can relax. Not a flute group but a pile of love instead! You need to see Lirik Nefesler when they are at a concert. There, you can feel the synergy that they have. Because, it changed my point of view for flute -which I started as a new hobby- when one of the autistic children, impressed while playing the flute, took a metal knife and pretended as if playing flute, the other came next to me you and touched the flute, one another danced with her father, and it showed me that how much I have to give with my flute, indeed.
